Surabhi is an attorney with Bagchi Law, PLLC, a boutique corporate-commercial law firm based in Chapel Hill, NC. She handles the firm’s domestic and foreign clients a variety of corporate and commercial transactions, including private equity and venture capital financings and mergers and acquisitions.
Surabhi has several years of experience as a corporate transactional attorney advising on private equity and cross-border transactions. Prior to joining Bagchi Law, Surabhi worked at one of the top 4 law firms in India. In addition to handling a broad range of corporate and business matters, she was responsible for advising clients in domestic and international transactions and structuring including joint ventures, acquisitions and private equity investments. Surabhi is admitted to practice in the State Bar of New York and in India. She received her master of laws degree in Business Law and Policy from University of California, Los Angeles.
She is passionate about advocating for women’s rights. Surabhi previously worked as the Executive Director of Kiran, Inc., a non-profit organization in Raleigh serving victims of domestic violence and currently serves on the executive board of Kiran, Inc. She has recently been appointed by the Governor of North Carolina as a member of Domestic Violence Commission.
